I am here to apologize. I was not aware that our once a month Indiegogo required updates had not been posting. I am not sure where the posts I made via the app posted to, but it wasn't to any of you. This spring has been a blur of things and in that blur I did not think to check the actual Indiegogo page. This was compounded by finding out that I have also not been getting email notices from those of you who have left comments and sent questions. I will be replying to each of those in the next couple days (I would like to say I will contact each of you tonight, but I am not sure I will be able to, and do not want to over promise on this).
From there I would like to summarize the last several updates that should have posted and where we currently are with fulfillment.
The tl;dr version is production took longer than expected, and our underwear is currently stuck in customs limbo.
On January 29th we sent our final numbers to our factory and they began full production. Production then stopped on the 12th as our factory closed for Chinese New Year.
Between the 12th and when production re-started on March 5th we received all of the Forever New fabric wash packets.
On March 8th we learned that the bags we had originally planned for packaging could not be made to our specifications. So we began looking for a new manufacturer for this.
In mid-April (my email says the 12th) production finished on the panties and they packed everything up and shipped it our direction. This should have taken about 2 weeks to get to us. It then sat in customs on their end for at least a week (this is the portion that I do not have solid dates for). And then it got to the customs port in the US. That was give or take the 10th of this month. And that is where it has been since.
Right now I haven't been able to get a set date or idea of when customs will be releasing our shipment.
That is where we are right now.
Yes this project is still happening.
I am very sorry for the lack of updates posting.
Update 1: All T-Shirts, Tote Bags, and Buttons (that were not ordered with Alex Tucking Panties) have been shipped.
We would love to see action shots of your glittery shirts in the wild!
Update 2: The factory is working on our order. We've given them preliminary numbers, and will be giving them final counts on Friday. That means on Thursday we are locking down all BackerKit surveys. If you haven't provided us with your sizes or colors you need to do this NOW!
This also means if you want to ADD any Alex Tucking Panties to your order this is the time to do it.
Don't worry about your address right now. As soon as we get the panties into our shop and start fulfillment, we will check with everyone for updated addresses.
Update 3: We should have packaging shortly, and it's really cool. (I'm waiting on photos, or this part of the update would be more interesting).
The 1st wave of packages are ready to ship. We sent out the 48 hour notice of shipping through BackerKit this morning. So if you have completed your order and are NOT getting a pair of Alex Tucking Panties, make sure the mailing address we have for you is correct. We will be packing orders today and tomorrow and shipping on Thursday with the address provided.
As soon as we start getting the Alex Tucking Panties in stock we will let folks know a closer date for shipping and prep you for needing final shipping addresses.
We have 75% of the surveys returned. That's awesome!
The remaining 25% of folks are mostly those who chose to donate pairs, or opted for no reward. But we want to make sure that everyone is getting what they want so even if you don't want us sending you anything in the mail will you do us a HUGE favor and complete your BackerKit survey? That way we don't give the factory our final numbers and then find out that someone wanted to add 3 pairs in a color/size combo that we ordered low on.
And if you have decided that you do want a pair of the tucking panties, or a t-shirt, or even one of the new tote bags, you can add those while you're completing your survey.
